Hindu couple launched Malaysia`s first Shariah compliant Airline TOURISM

(Kualalumpur-NewsHalal, Rabi`I 14, 1437, December 25, 2015) An ethnic Hindu couple reportedly launched Malaysia`s first Shariah compliant Airline which began operation on Sunday 20th December.

Founded in January 2015, Rayani Air made its maiden flight from Malaysian capital Kualalumpur to resort island of Langkawi. Making all onboard services in accordance with Islamic Shariah, female Muslim flight crew must wear a hijab while non-Muslims must be decently dressed, managing director Jaafar Zamhari told reporters.

Alcohol on board will be strictly banned, and all in-flight meals will be halal. There will be prayer recitals before take-off to ensure the safety of staff and passengers on the flight.

Rayani Air is the fourth airline in the world that has imposed application of Sharia-Compliant to each Muslim cabin crews after Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA), Saudi Arabian Airlines and Iran Air.

UK-based Firnas Airways is also reportedly planning to offer similar flights next year.

Rayani Air founders Ravi Alagendrran and his wife Karthiyani Govindan, who used parts of their first names for the airline’s name, assured that passengers of all faiths would be welcome on the flights although they are primarily eyeing the Muslim market.
